There are three contests you can participate in: CTF, Quiz and BZFlag.

CTF - Capture the Flag
A CTF is a hacking competition where various teams compete with each other and try to win points. Points may be scored depending upon how a CTF is designed. Normally, points are scored by successfully penetrating into other machines and defending your own. The team scoring most points is declared the winner. BZFlag Contest
BZFlag is a free online multiplayer cross-platform open source 3D tank battle game. The name originates from "Battle Zone capture the Flag". It runs on Irix, Linux, *BSD, Windows, Mac OS X, and many other platforms. It's one of the most popular games ever on silicon graphics machines and a game of choice of many hackers.
